Mohamed Sumah, 52, recalled what life was like in the Sangoya Community before his community's well was installed last year.
"Before this time, our children and women usually [went] to the swamp to fetch water. There were so many waterborne sicknesses that were affecting our children and women," Mohamed shared.
Collecting water is now much safer for Mohamed and the other community members in the Sangoya Community.
"Now, we never go to the swamp to fetch water any more from the first time this water point was constructed. In addition, we used this clean water to drink. There [are] no more waterborne sickness[es] in our community, and we say thanks to you," he continued.
Having ready access to water from the well has made a difference for Mohamed, allowing him to lead a healthier life alongside the rest of the community members.
"This water has helped us greatly; our children now go to school on time and [aren't] late [to] school. We now use this water to drink and for our domestic purposes," Mohamed continued.
