Giving Update: Kakunike Primary School

"We used to carry water to a school in 5-liter containers daily for the feeding program and our own drinking while in school. It was always a tiring activity because sometimes I would pass at the river in the morning to get the water while also on my school bag with books," said Gladys, a school student.

"Now I can walk to the tank anytime while in school and draw water for drinking while in school. It is always open and accessible to all of us all day. I can now arrive at school early because I do not have to come tired because of carrying water and passing by the river."

"There is more concentration in class. We are also washing our hands before meals and after visiting the latrines. We have also been washing mangoes and oranges during the breaks and eating them while clean. Using water from the tank, each student must plant a tree within the school and take care of it through watering in the morning and afternoon. This has been made possible by the existence of enough water supply."
