Giving Update: Tulimani Community

"In the past, I was never involved in the water fetching process. Mum would walk to the river source at Tyaa river using donkeys and bring water for us at home, sometimes she would take long at the source, and available water at home was never enough for all our water needs. Sometimes she would buy water from Tuktuk and donkey vendors who delivered the water at home," said 10-year-old Charity M.

"Water is now readily available from this water point. I can accompany mum to the point and carry water back home in a small container, which was never possible before this project implementation. The project has led to increased water availability at home that is also involved in cleaning dishes, clothes and the house while also taking a shower more often than before."

"My parents have been paying my school fees at good rates for the last one year because they are no longer buying water at home. They're also more engaged in farming than looking for water, which was the case before this project implementation. I have also been involved in the fetching of water for watering flowers and trees planted within our compound."
