Robina Dreams of Becoming a Doctor!

Eleven-year-old Robina recalled what life was like at the Kinu Friends Primary School before her school's well was installed last year.

Before the Well's Installation

"We used to go far and on a bad road to get water, and there were a lot of people using the same water. Sometimes, we would have struggled to get water," shared Robina.

After the Well's Installation

Collecting water is now easier for Robina and the other students at Kinu.

"I like it because it is near [and] it has clean water [that] is not salty or dirty. There is no congestion, and getting water is fast and easy. The best thing about living with clean water is that it is safe to drink, so we don't get sick, and there is no wasting of time to boil [water]," said Robina.

Having ready access to water from the well has made a difference for Robina, allowing her time to focus on learning and dreaming about the future.

Collecting water is much easier now.

"In our free time, we read, go to our clubs, and play in the evenings. We are doing well and showing improvement in our classwork," Robina said.

"I want to be a doctor so that I can treat people who are sick," Robina concluded.
