Help Fund a Water Project
Beginning in late-June 2014, we will be meeting up in Cape Town to start quite the journey up Africa. Our car (1999 Land Rover Discovery) was purchased in Dubai in December and has had the necessary repairs/additions to get it ready for the long journey. It will be shipped very soon and will arrive in Cape Town just before us. We will then begin our trip up through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and finish in Cairo, Egypt.
Along the way we will be doing as much as possible; seeing sites, learning about the cultures, staying in the lively cities, and about anything else we can find a way to take part in. We will be filming the trip, and taking photos as well. With this footage we hope to put together a well-made and very interesting travel documentary. Showcasing the many different personalities of the team and the amazing setting, the documentary should be entertaining and explore what each of the countries and the people have to offer.
We hope to raise enough funds to contribute at a good scale to a new water project to be built and implemented in a community in Africa, providing proper hygiene and sanitation training, while unlocking access to clean, safe water. We will be visiting one of the current sites of a water project through our travels to see how it works and the progress of a functioning site, and to show our support and enthusiasm for the project.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
