Hello!

Although it is in no way required to attend the event, please donate for clean water access in Sub-Saharan Africa!

Stickers and explanation follow:

We would like to begin this campaign by thanking everyone who has expressed interest in the event. While this all started with a simple love for the music of Toto, we have found that the collective community that wants to celebrate together also possesses the ability to help communities that lack the privileges that we often take for granted, such as access to clean, safe, and reliable water.

Although there are many issues in the United States that still need to be addressed, such as widespread anti-blackness, exploitation of low-income communities, and the clean water issue in Flint, Michigan (which you can help financially through this link https://www.cfgf.org/…/F…/WaterCrisis/tabid/855/Default.aspx ), we decided that the issue that relates most to the song we all gather around at this time would be clean and sustainable water to rural communities across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The two of us ask that you donate, or at least share the link to the page so that we can rally together and work for a better world in which we are all more aware and willing to help.

With every $5 that you donate, you can receive one sticker (photo on the Facebook event page). While we currently cannot ship stickers, we will be in grey shirts that read "Give Water" at the White House sidewalk event on October 6th where you can pick up stickers from 8:45-9:20PM. When you arrive, please show us your receipt! ALL proceeds will go to safe water access in Sub-Saharan Africa.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please email [email protected]!

Thank you all for the love and support.

With Love,
Joanna Chou and Jaskeerat Mann
from the George Washington University Class of 2021

How this works

Dirty water impacts health, education, women, and income. Providing a reliable and safe water source allows communities to thrive.

The Water Project provides access to safe and reliable water across sub-Saharan Africa. Together, our support can end the water crisis and restore hope, one community at a time.

The coolest part? We'll all get to see our impact! Every gift is directly linked to a specific water project and community. We'll receive updates including photos and stories, maps and more!

Lives change when communities gain access to clean water. Let's experience it together. Make a donation to my fundraising campaign today!
