So my birthday is just about two weeks away. May 19th! But instead of receiving gifts, I would really like to give to those who are in need. Another year of life is really no accomplishment of my own, so there is no reason for me to be showered with gifts. Instead, let's join together and raise money to bring the basic necessity of water to those who aren't as fortunate as us. We take water for granted so often, yet there are hundreds of thousands of people who walk miles just to get a sip of filthy water to satisfy their thirst. And here in America, we spend nearly 4 billion dollars on bottled water a year! Something just ain't right!
So on my birthday, I would much rather give to those who need. I am not in need of your gifts, but there are children across the world in need of our support. God has blessed us so much that I think it is time we use our funds to think beyond ourselves and reach out to those in need.
Join with me as I raise money to build a well on my birthday! I would love to see $250.00 raised by the weekend of my birthday. So $250 is the goal and May 22 is the deadline! Let's see what we can do.
*Romans 12:9-13*
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
