On Labor Day, September 5, my Orchard Lake St. Mary's hockey teammates and I will be skating at least 9 miles each on frozen water to create awareness for the basic need of clean drinking water to sustain the lives of real people in a community in Africa.
We're hoping to raise $15,000, enough for two wells. My personal goal is $200. We'll be able to track progress by GPS.
If you agree this is a worthy cause, will you please support my efforts?
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
