Hi! We are in the 7/8 gifted congregated class of Francis Libermann Catholic high school. After researching information for a school project we realized the less than adequate conditions people in Africa live with due to water scarcity. The water they do have is unclean and is one of the leading cause of death in the continent ( 85% of African children die due to water borne illnesses). Girls in these countries will drop out of school and spend up to 1 Billion hours collecting water annually, this is equivalent to the entire french workforce. We wanted to give these small communities the chance to have access to clean water, a chance for a better life.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
