Join the Geology Club at Indiana University Northwest at the "Walk for Water" on April 21, 2012 from 12-6 p.m. at Hanson Park in Michigan City to raise awareness about the struggle to obtain clean water for people in Africa! We want to raise at least $10,000 that will go to building wells in Africa. The average American uses 176 gallons of water per day (www.water.org)! In Africa, on average people have to walk 1km to reach a clean water source. Sometimes, even the clean water source is polluted. Please walk with us, so they do not have to! To register for the walk, please go to the website below.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
