Lorag Records Music for water...with music we can reshape our world
After a recent trip to Africa it really hit home how access to clean water should be something everyone has in the world. After days of quiet contemplation and inspiration from the trip it dawned on us that thru music sales we can generate enough funding to provide a small village in Africa a new water well.
How far would you walk for water?
Many people and small villages in Africa do not have access to clean water that we simply get from bottled water or our tap. Many have to walk many miles or kilometers to get to a well and then spend time and energy walking back with heavy containers of water. Time that could be spent tending to crops or livestock or helping their families.
What is our first goal?
We are going to start with a small attainable goal. Through our research we have discovered that it will only take roughly (5000) Euro or (7000) USD to build an maintain a new water for a small village in Sub-Saharan Africa. The well will provide a constant source of clean and safe drinking water for the village and lead to development in the region.
So thats only 500 Itunes Downloads or Cd Sales at 10Euro/10 USD...not a high number for real change
So what can you do about it to help us attain this goal?
We here at Lorag Records/Music4Water are preparing our first Music4Water Cd Release. All of the procedes are going to go to building our first water well. So for every Cd/Itunes download you purchase with the music for water label you are essentially building the water well with us and providing real change and hope to people that need it most.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
