This year at school I am taking a class called AP Environmental Science. For our final project, our teacher assigned us a project with the guidelines that we must use the knowledge that we have learned this year to better our school, community, or the world.
One topic that we discussed in detail this year was the lack of clean water available in some parts of the world. Where I live, water is readily available and safe to drink and use, and I have never had to worry about whether or not the water I am drinking is safe--or if I will even have water to drink. In other parts of the world, people don't have this luxury. Lack of clean water can lead to numerous health issues, and I want to be someone who is actively battling this problem.
I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly--walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
