FLL Team Rapids Water Project Fundraiser

We are First Lego League's Team Rapids from Mill Falls Charter School in Manchester, N.H. We have been researching the human water cycle and wanted to come up with a unique solution to bring safe drinking water to rural villages in Africa.

In our research we learned how lucky we are to have teams of dedicated city employees that insure Manchester's drinking water is safe and that our wastewater is treated properly.

We wanted to help places that don't have the same access to clean drinking water. We learned that there are many places where children can't go to school because they have to spend so much time fetching clean water, or because they are too sick from drinking dirty water.

We studied some organizations in Africa that install water projects in villages before making sure the projects are the right fit.

We were excited to learn about this amazing organization called The Water Project in our own back yard. Project Manager Lauren Eggert told us how her team spends time with the villages they help to find the right solutions to bring them clean water.
