As we sit by our laptops, computer or smartphones on a daily
basis we come across numerous heart breaking, sometimes inspiring stories, and
pictures all over the internet, especially Facebook. What we don’t realise is will
we be alive tomorrow doing what we are doing today, right now at this moment.
Think about it. You don’t know when and where your last moments in this life
will be. These thought have been going through my mind for the last fortnight. Why?
because I lost a very close person to me who I held close to my heart and it wasn’t
until then I realised that once you leave this world there’s no returning back.
For many this means their loved ones are resting in peace. I want each of you
to pause whatever you are doing and think about it. Where are you right now
this very moment when reading this? Are you in a room? Is there furniture in
this room ?is the weather outside cold , hot ? Is it day light or night time? Are
you all alone in this room inside this house or building? Do you have your
family surrounding you ? How is your health condition and theirs? Now think
about this we can spend $1 on a packet of gum, newspaper or on coffee or $100
on shoes, $250 on drinks at a club and we go by the mentality that money comes
and goes. But for some people they don’t even have that one dollar to afford clean
water for themselves let alone their families. There are mothers out there and
their own children at times are forced to work and are struggling just to be
able provide themselves drinking water, which most cases isn’t clean. Many work
and know how hard it is to earn each cent and dollar or many just win the lotto
and gamble their way with their earnings and success in life. So why not help
me out and make donations towards building a prayer well. If each person was to
donate $10 and 1000 people were to help me imagine what the final outcome would
be? I want to establish this well on behalf of my grandparents,
friends and relatives I’ve lost to illnesses such as cancer, all the people
that have walked on this earth and passed on and on behalf of you guys donating.
So when donating whether you are Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Judaist whether religious
or a non-believer when making a donation please ensure with your intention in
your thoughts that you include a person that has passed on or someone who is
struggling with a deadly sickness. If
you are religious make sure to include them in a prayer when donating. Let this
well benefit not just an entire community, but at the same time let all the people
have passed on, struggling with a form of sickness benefit too and to all of us
still living and breathing today. Let’s show one another that we still have a
form compassion and humanity left within our hearts to do a small but large form
of good deed. You may laugh at my words, my thoughts and at what I am actually
trying to proceed with, but think of the reward and the prayers each person who
drinks from this well will be receiving in return. Even a little thank you has
a massive impact on a person. To each individual who donates please leave your
name anonymous or unknown I don’t want people praising or bragging on about how
much they donated. This is not about who donated the most amount of money, but let
this be a personal experience. Let this be something you can feel good about at
heart not something to praise yourself or be at competition with. Let this not
just be a personal project for myself but for everyone else too. Whatever you
can afford, whatever your heart and intentions are set upon in regards to the
amount you will be donating. And remember
every $10 donated gives 1 person 10 years’ worth of clean water.
Note please donate under the "personal fundraising page" option. Thank you.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
