The student council, alongside Mr. Taylor, has a goal to raise $950 School wide for The Water Project. The Water Project is an organization that uses the money from fundraisers, like this one, to provide and build sources of fresh, clean water for schools, children, and communities in places like Africa that don't have easy access to water.
If we as a school reach this goal, Ms. Heesacker will get duct taped to a wall. The school wide fundraising goal is $950; The water project will end on May 22nd, so make sure to donate by then to see Ms. Heesacker get duck taped to a wall! Also, the top 10 online donators will receive a blue band as a thank you gift, and DONUTS!! Also, the winning grade gets a dodgeball game!
Rather than donating online, you can donate cash in your grade level's jar at the front desk. Note that you cannot earn a blue band by putting cash in the jar.
Thank you very much!
- The Student Council
-P.S. We have a dollar dress down day on the 8th of May to support this cause!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
