Help Fund a Water Project
But Why, Mom??
...words that
parents often hear, especially from their young children. When Jack and
Sophia were about 4 and 6 years old, they began to push back and to
wonder why ALL children, really ALL people on our planet, did not have
access to clean water.
Jack and Sophia, now respectively 8 and 9,
are doing their part to help find a solution to the question WHY, and
they are raising money through the The Water Project.org to bring fresh
water to a village in Africa later this year, with Kenya or Rwanda being
the likely location.
According to The Water Project, it costs
approximately $7,500 to $10,000 per project, installing a new water pump or
restoring an existing system, depending upon issues including drilling
at least 15 meters below the aquifer, etc. This varies, village by
village and project by project.
Along with Jack & Sophia and
after you make your donation, you too will receive updates of the
project's progress along the very exciting 6-9 month journey.
Jack
and Sophia are very compassionate young people who have a vision about
the way things should be on our planet! They are quite excited about
helping children and families in Africa as one of their philanthropic
endeavors this year, and through the commitment of The Water Project,
they are determined to bring water to those who needlessly suffer
without it.
The Preston Family hopes that you
will join Jack & Sophia in their efforts, and help them to reach
their goal, to provide the children with safe and clean
water in their own village.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
