Help Fund a Water Project
"Getting Dirty To Provide Clean Water For Africa"
As a group of international pioneers, representing the mighty lands of South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, 'Merica, Canada & more, we decided to not only be legends and run a Spartan Race, but to be great people at the same time.
Some fun facts for you:
- Did you know 884 million people in the world don't have access to safe water? That's approximately 221x the population of NZ or 17x NZ's sheep population
- OR did you know 443 million school days are lost each year due to water-related diseases? That's significantly more than the 43 million lost in Australia due to dingo's stealing babies, kangaroos jumping into school buses or the weather being too good so 'shrimp had to be caught to be put on the barbie.'
Well we didn't either, but we've decided to use our united powers to raise a bunch of USD (gold) and help those less fortunate build a well in their village.
This is pretty cool because not only does it stop people drinking the water you wouldn't even want your dog going into, but it makes it convenient (no more 3 mile walks) and gives them a chance to grow crops, be entrepreneurial and move out of the poverty cycle.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
About The Water Project
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
