Help Fund a Water Project
Hi, my name is
Jay Burton and I am currently studying Environmental Management in
Germany. I was fortunate enough to be born in Europe and I have
everything I need in life, others don't.
I am turning 20 on July
13th, and instead of asking for a present, I want you to help me give
water access to people in need. 5000$ (3600€ - 3000£) is enough to fund a big part of a water project where a well can be built for a whole community,
but even a small donation will go a long way. 17€ (14£) will provide
water for one person. These projects are focused in Africa, in Kenya or Rwanda for example.
Of course I don't want you to donate
because you know me, but because it's for a good cause! Please help me
with this project. I don't need anything for my birthday, and the most perfect gift I could ever receive is the chance to help others out!
We need help to raise this amount of money, so please share this page with friends and family, and
together we can make a difference. If all goes well, I will be able to share progress reports and photos of the project with you all very soon, along with an awesome thank you video!
Oh, and if we do reach the target, expect a party!

à tous, je m'appelle Jay Burton et j'étudie actuellement Management de
l'Environnement en Allemagne. J'ai eu la chance d'être né en Europe et
j'ai tout ce qu'il me faut dans la vie, d'autres n'ont malheureusement
pas cette chance.
Je vais avoir 20 ans le 13 juillet, et plutôt
que demander un cadeau j'aimerais que vous m'aidiez à donner accès à
l'eau aux personnes qui ont en besoin. 5000$ (3600€ - 3000£) suffit
pour financer une grande part d'un projet où un puit sera construit pour une
communauté entière, mais même une petite donation peut aller loin. 17€
(14£) fournira de l'eau pour une personne. Ces projets sont principalement mis en place en Afrique, au Rwanda ou au Kenya par exemple.
Bien sûr, je ne veux
pas que vous fassiez un don parce que vous me connaissez, mais parce que
c'est pour une bonne cause ! Aidez moi s'il vous plait avec ce projet, je n'ai besoin de rien pour mon anniversaire, et le meilleur cadeau que je pourrais avoir serait la chance de pouvoir aider les autres!
Il nous faut de l'aide pour récolter autant d'argent, alors partagez s'ils vous plait cette page avec vos amis et votre famille, et ensemble
nous pouvons faire une différence. Si tout va bien, je vais pouvoir partager avec vous un rapport de progrès ainsi que des photos du projet très bientôt, ainsi qu'une énorme vidéo de remerciements !

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
