Jharna's Campaign for Water

Everyone says be the change that you want to see in the world. I truly believe that change comes from within and the actions that you take can change thousands of lives. I have always been someone that really cares and is open minded about what is happening around the world. I wanted to make a change and take crucial actions rather then just talking about a change. As soon as I heard about the water project, a non-profit origanization helping communities in sub Saharan Africa, I knew I had to do something.

Today, too many children suffer needlessly, walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. The water that these children get by walking miles is dirty and unsanitary, yet that is the only thing keeping them alive. Children 5 and above walk through hills and in the hot sun just to get that water to feed the family which is so scarce. This issue reaches home, People in the Nepali community know the struggle of having access to water. Waking up early with buckets to fill up the water, walking home with the container full water and some days the water not coming from the wells. But we were fortunate enough to even have the wells, almost all of the villages and communities in sub Saharan Africa don't even have wells. The most heart breaking fact is that the water these communities need is just underneath their feet, yet they are so far way from getting it.

The basic fundamental component of life is having the basic needs met, and if these children are not even given the basic needs then how can they focus on anything else? But with your help and mindfulness, We can provide these communities with access to clean, safe and reliable water. Then, these children can focus on getting an education and in the future they can be the ones changing the world and helping other communities who suffer. So, let's give them the opportunity to change the course of their destiny.
