We are fundraising because we recognise the immense privilege that we have been fortunate enough to be born into. We have access to clean and safe water. Whilst many of us are guilty of complaining about the bores of school, millions of children are missing out on their education, because they have no choice but to collect (often unsafe) water for their families. In the midsts of a global pandemic, we are able to wash our hands and protect ourselves from a possibly life-threatening virus. Many do not have this luxury. But we believe that access to clean water should no longer be a luxury; it is a fundamental right that nobody should have to go without. So we are asking you to donate whatever you can to help to reduce the injustice and give more people access to their most basic need: clean water.
