Dear Friends and Family,
For my Mitzvah Project, I have decided to fundraise for The Water Project in order to provide clean and safely accessible water for people in sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, people in Africa have to walk an average of 3.7 miles for water each day. Adding on to this, the water usually has to be boiled, so that it is safe to drink. I will be fundraising by hosting a "Walk for Water" event. Please join me in walking around West Hartford Reservoir #6 on Sunday, October 8th at 1:00pm. This is the reservoir that provides water to lots of West Hartford, including my synagogue, Beth El Temple. This walk is also around 3.7 miles, in honor of how far people in Africa have to walk each day. As we walk, I hope that you recognize how lucky we are to have clean and safely accessible water. If you are interested in joining me, please let my mom know so she can send you more information. Lastly, if you can donate to my fundraiser, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
All the best,
Jude Bauman
