1 in 8 people in the world don't have a clean, fresh, plentiful supply of water where they live. Think about having to walk miles every day to collect water for your family. See the dirty, polluted water--the only water that's available. Imagine the disease and death, the poverty, the hopelessness that come from this situation. Realize that we can make a difference.
Our well project had simple beginnings. Piggy banks went home with our nursery toddlers to be "fed" and came back filled with quarters, dimes, nickels, and lots of pennies. Others have contributed to the cause. Our goal is to finance the repair of an existing, non-producing well in the country of Sierra Leone in Africa. Together we can make this happen! Know that in giving to this water project, you will be bringing joy, opportunity, and life to a whole community in Africa. Thank you for your help! Note: When you look below and see donations from woodsEnd Children's Church, we want you to know that those amounts represent the giving of many individuals, families, and groups. We thank each one of you for your gift and rejoice in the difference it will make.Date | Donor | Amount | Message |

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
