We have studied many facets of water this year as part of our STEM education. We created methods to move water from place to place, built filtration systems, and mathematically figured the number of lost hours in a day when there is no clean water nearby. We looked at data showing the number of people with poor water sources. Did you know that 443 million school days are lost each year due to water related diseases? Nearly 1 in 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide are due to water related disease. Nearly a billion people do not have access to clean, safe water. Millions of children go to schools without water and toilets. We take these things for granted, and thus decided we wanted to not only study these things, but to make a difference and increase the number of people who have clean healthy drinking water. We started a fundraiser in our school by selling cups of water for 25 cents at all school events. This publicizes the need and also raises money. The response has been terrific. We would love for you to join our efforts.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
