We had to do a water project in school to help raise awareness about water problems around the world. But we wanted to do something more than that. So we set up a 5k run, we did a bake sale, and now we want to set up a fundraising website. After doing a lot of research we've realized really how bad this problem is , and how many people die each year, from bad water. Our overall goal is to raise 12,000-15,000 dollars. Enough money to buy one well for a poor village in Kenya. I know its going to be very hard to get that much money, thats why we're trying to find as many different ways as possible to reach our goal. And it will just make us feel so much better to know that we've actually saved a lot of lives from one well. If we do get this money thats great, but another thing we really want to do is raise awareness through out Singapore, about the lack of safe water in Africa and other parts of the world. If we do this then maybe we could even have more people trying to do what were doing.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
