After going through a clean water unit and watching a few videos about the water crisis in Africa, my class was moved to do something about it. After much discussion, we decided to make this a class project. Each student is part of a team that has responsibilities. The students decided that our slogan should be "We'll help, will you?" If you were to ask them why are we doing this project, they will be quick to tell you, "We want to save lives!" We are going to do our part to make a difference, will you?
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
