Help Fund a Water Project
Ignatians is a co-ed service organization founded in 1981 at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. If there is one word I can think of to describe this amazing group of diverse men and women, it is passionate. We are passionate about service, passionate about friendship, passionate about fun, reaching the deeper meaning of life, creativity, exploring. We have members from all over the world, as well as involved in a variety of activities and causes. We love to dance! But most of all, we love just being with people. Being with each other and being with the people that we serve at our seven different service sites around the greater LA area.
Additionally, every spring semester we pick a "special project" or specific cause/social justice issue to support. This semester we have chosen the Water Project because it shocked us that over one sixth of the worlds population does not have access to clean water. We are hoping to raise AT LEAST 2000 dollars to put towards the building of a well, and would love to raise EVEN MORE. Thank you to all who support us. IGGIE! IGGIE! IGGIE! OI! OI! OI! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -March 26th update: This past weekend we had our annual Collegefest at LMU where The Hush Sound and Gym Class Heroes played! Even though the concert was moved inside because of stormy weather, we still made a lot of money face painting! We made $81 dollars all of which will be going towards this well! YAY!Who's Helping?

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
