My name is Lyndsie and I attend West Side Christian Chuch. Fusion, our high school ministry, meets every Wednesday from September to June, and in the summer, we just attend normal chuch. My small group and I all agreed that we needed to do something to keep our fire alive in summer and we scheduled to meet every Thursday at our group leader's house where we had a student led book/bible study in which we read the book '7' by Jen Hatmaker. One day while reading, we came upon an astonishing fact that the annual U.S. spending on cosmetics is $8 billion and the annual U.S. and European spending on purfume is $12 billion while to supply clean water for all global citizens would only cost $9 billion. This stuck with me all summer until I finally decided I needed to act on it. I know $5,000 is no where near $9 billion but it's a start! I know with everyone's help and God's ways, something amazing will happen! It always does. Thank you so much for your time and contribution! God bless!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
