Madison's Campaign for Water

Water is essential for life, our most basic need. It’s the most vital and pervasive element of life. No living being on planet Earth can survive without it. Yet 1 in 8 people on the planet are still are living without access to water, the most basic requirement for life. I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.

Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. Water goes beyond a simple beverage, water effects everything like hunger, education, health, poverty and especially women and children. Those living without access to a reliable source of water, can’t grow, preserve or prepare food. Desperation resorts them to polluted water and poor sanitation practices that spread diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera and malaria resulting in extensive short and long-term health impacts. Due to the burdens that a lack of clean water brings, education simply becomes less of a priority. Setting up an unfortunate cycle of poverty and inequality as, without a proper education, there is little chance of improving one's situation later in life.

You and I can change that.

By resolving the lack of access to water your unlocking immense positive impacts on a whirlpool of social issues and problems faced by these various rural communities. Now is the time to educate our children and their children’s children on these matters. Saving our planet, lifting people out of poverty, advancing economic growth... these are one and the same fight. 

It all begins with the basics of water.

Together we can not only create a tangible difference in the lives of millions of the world’s most vulnerable people in Sub Saharan Africa but ensure our children and future generations venture on without this trepidation hanging over their heads. Alone, a single drop of water can't do much, but when many drops come together, they can sustain life on our planet. Just as water drops come together to form oceans, we all must come together to sail out of this storm that is water scarcity and into the seas of liberation.
