Hello everyone!
This is Mariah Lucas and Stephanie Brito's Swim-A-Thon page. We are both in the International Baccalaureate program at Springdale High School in Northwest Arkansas. We are doing a Swim-A-Thon for our C.A.S. project, C.A.S. is an acronym for Creativity, Action, Service. We created this page in order for the sponsors to see the progress of the community in need of a water project. The Foundation said usually within 6-8 months after our campaign is complete, we'll start seeing information on the community. The Swim-A-Thon isn't until Saturday, February 1st, 2014. All the money collections are due Friday February 14th, 2014. We also have a Facebook Fundraiser Page if you want to check it out, https://www.facebook.com/pages/IB-CAS-Swimming-for-Clean-Water/179544632239217, if you like the page we will transfer any information that is on this page to the Facebook page, where you will most likely see the information without having to keep checking this page. There will also be updates on the Swim-A-Thon on the facebook page if there are any rescheduling or cancellations.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
