Help Fund a Water Project
Hello everyone!
My name is Monika, and I'm currently a senior at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California. A little background as to how I got involved with this project - After participating in a service abroad trip to Kenya, I became very passionate about the issue of water scarcity, and how important it is to spread awareness and contribute to the lives of others. Now that I'm back home, I'm very excited to make a change through this fundraiser! My goal is to raise enough money to sponsor a well in an impoverished community, and I'm going to need all the help I can get. Any donations I receive on my page will go directly towards the construction of the well. Please consider donating! It would mean a great deal to me, and to countless others. Thank you so much. Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
