Help Fund a Water Project

I have the choice to drink more water whenever I desire, and it's clean. I can get it from 3 different places in my house and 2 in my yard. I can't even count the number of stores around me that sell all different types of water for my consumption. And I use it everyday- in my art studio, to clean my skin and teeth, to make my coffee, take my medicine and flush my pee and poop away. I bathed my baby boys in little tubs of it and now am so happy when their foul smelling teenage armpits and feet find their way to the shower. I washed their bottles in our dishwasher or the kitchen sink, and when they were sick, I gave them medicine followed by sips of clean water. When they puked everywhere, I wiped up what I could and threw the spoiled linens and rags in my washing machine. If this privileged life was not my life (or one day isn't my life)- if I was not me but the mother in that far away life that is not my reality so is less than real and too often less important to me, I would want someone somewhere to wake up and give a care. I would want ME to help. I would want me to SEE that what I've been given isn't just for me to have. It's for me to share. It's for me to use for God's purposes in the world. And I would be so thankful. .......................................... Please help. What can you do without for a month or two? Set the money aside and donate it to this project. There are a million simple things you can do to find the funds to help some of the millions who are without access to what many of us don't think twice about...until we're without it. Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
