One in nine people on Earth don't have access to clean water. That's almost a billion people on this planet who struggle with a basic human need. 3.4 million people die each year from water-related diseases, whether it's polluted water or simply no water at all. Here in America, we are all living our lives in comfort in the first world, but the reality of the world we live in as a whole is that more people have cell phones than toilets. Water is something everyone, myself included, takes for granted. I'm fundraising because I think that this is one of the most basic rights that every human being deserves, and I want to do my part in helping that cause. Any and all help is appreciated!
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
