Perspectives Middle Academy educates scholars for the purpose of creating ethical leaders focused on changing the world. Throughout the month of March, each subject area at PMA is utilizing action-based instruction to educate our scholars on the world's water crisis. ELA classes are incorporating Linda Sue Park's A Long Walk to Water. Nonfiction Reading and Writing classes are instilling background knowledge of cultures' struggles, while Science is addressing the earth and human need for water sources. Even Math is incorporating the project's themes into lessons. This collaborative focus will inspire our scholars to see their education as a tool for change in their world, while connecting their own perseverance through challenges on the South Side of Chicago with millions of children globally.

We are raising funds toward the construction of sustainable water sources in African countries of need. Please assist our scholars in this endeavor. Our goal is to raise $1,000.

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
