This year, all K-5 Quarton students have been learning about the water crisis in neighboring communities, as well as, those internationally that are affected by a daily shortage of, access to, and/or unsanitary water. The Water Project is teaching our students empathy and compassion for others while building skills in developing partnerships with other communities. Students are gaining insight about the world around them and are collaborating to make a significant difference in someone’s life.
Each student has dedicated their art time to creating one beautifully handcrafted coaster with the hopes of raising awareness in their community about the global water crisis. Each ceramic coaster symbolizes water “being within reach”, as they help disadvantaged communities in sub-Saharan Africa gain access to clean and reliable water. Students have donated their coasters to raise money to fund part of a community water project in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You, our students, and I can change that for one community. Please join us in donating to our fundraising page and help us spread the word. Feel free to forward this link to friends and family to help Quarton students make a change and reach their goal.
Please join us in making a donation to our fundraising page. All donations are welcome and GREATLY appreciated.
