Help Fund a Water Project
Hi Friends,
As many of you know, I’ve had the
opportunity in the past to visit countries such as Belize and Haiti and witness the effects of
poverty in other parts of the world. Even though I wasn’t able to make another
trip again this year, I realized that there’s still a lot I can do where I am to
make a change. This year I decided to use one of my passions to make a
difference – running!
On May 25, I will be running a half
marathon and my goal is to raise $100 per mile for The Water Project. That’s
$1,310 – sounds like a lot of money, but go big or go home right?! The exciting
thing about The Water Project is that every fundraising effort is matched to a specific
project so that we can see the impact that we’re making. I know that with all
of your support, we can help fund an awesome project in Africa, and knowing I
have your support will help me pound out the grueling 13.1 miles.
As an added bonus, for every $100 I
raise above and beyond my initial goal, I will run an extra mile the next day.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
