Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.

I was born 21 years ago and given the name Raquel Stucchio. I absolutely love running and after undergoing some knee surgery I realized just how important running was to me. So after a year of a bumpy recovery I decided to run my first marathon. It was hilariously tragic. I suffered a bloody nose, extreme exhaustion and just didn't do the proper training. I finished in just under 7 hours but I had my family there to cheer me on and it was fantastic. After comically failing at lasts year marathon I decided I would try for round two. I have been training and race day is February 21,2016 with the LifeSouth Marathon in Gainesville, Florida. I wanted this experience to be something more since I was going for some serious redemption. I decided to run for a cause and what better cause than helping people gain access to clean water. Since drinking water is such a huge part of training I thought the two fit perfectly together. So thank you so much for showing an interest in this project. Please scroll down and gain some information on this amazing organization.

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
