I am fundraising for The Water Project not only for this amazing experience, but I believe we all deserve clean drinking water. It is our right as humans to have access to the necessities to live.
I have a Brita tap at my access everyday. Yet I still buy water bottles and finish about only half. Sometimes I'd grab a glass of water, take a couple sips and down the drain it would go without a second thought. I even would stay at my friends houses and refuse to drink their water because it was tap water, not Brita. Someone once said to me "The children in some areas of the World would be horrified if they knew how much good water we wasted". And it got me thinking, and then realizing how much water I actually do waste. And I couldn't forget those words. For some reason they stuck to me and I couldn't help but think... "I'm just one person, what can I do?" Well that's where you come in! I need YOUR help. Help to not only give water to deserving families but to help give hope back, and show that there ARE people out there who care, and to show we can make a difference! One penny, to a billion pennies; In the end, every cent counts. Every donation counts. One person, to a hundred persons... We can make a change. Every person counts.Date | Donor | Amount | Message |

08/30/13 | Shannon Ezekiel | $115.00 | Thank you, Samantha, for raising awareness for such a great cause. It's good to be reminded there are others in dire need of what we take for granted every day. |
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
