Troop 536 has learned that in some places girls their age have to miss school to retrieve water for their families. They went through an obstacle course in search of water with pretend brothers and sisters weighing them down and then decided how to ration the water they brought back. The girls connected to the plight of their contemporaries a continent away and felt the injustice of the situation. As a Girl Scout troop we decided to do something about it. Please join us in our efforts to raise money to fund a well to provide clean, safe water to those who need it and to empower second grade girls to know they can make a difference in the world.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
