Help Fund a Water Project
My name is Shae Straw-McMahon and I'm in year 8. At school we are doing a task where we are raising money. I wanted to raise money for kids that don't have clean water, have clean water. These kids are just like every other kid in the world. They like to have fun, muck around and be silly. But unlike me and others, they are hungry, thirsty and the most thing they want out of life is to still be living to the next day.
I want to help those kids, because the more people who know, the more people will act. Eventually everyone will know and everyone will do something. I am swimming 10km(10,000 metres) to help kids just like everyone else have a good, clean and healthy life. On Tuesday the 22nd of October I swam 10km, and finished in a time of 2 hours and 48 minutes. The swim was fantastic, it was hard but it was well worth it. Now kids will have a cleaner more sanitary life. I would like to thank everyone who has donated, whether it may be $20 to $300. I will be keeping the fundraising page open for about 2 more weeks, so it would be great if everyone continues to donate.Who's Helping?

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
