Help Fund a Water Project
Hello! And thank you for stopping by Sheena's Fundraising Page!!
Thank you to all of my Tweeters, FB followers, LinkedIn affiliates, friends and donators! Within the first two weeks of starting this fundraiser, we raised $102.00!!! Im so proud of the support that we have gotten. Within the first 30 days I collected enough personal points (1000) to earn a free coffee mug!
I am raising money to help bring clean drinking water to others who do not have a sufficient clean water supply.Specifically, those in Sierra Leone where these proceeds will be directed towards. I am taking on this challenge because I strongly believe in the power of one. I made a promise to myself as a to child to one day donate money to those children less fortunate than I. Keeping that promise, I decided to join thewaterproject.org and it has definitely been one of the best decisions that I have ever made.
April 1st, I launched an initiatve to raise $50 by Earth Day, April 22nd, and the results were amazing! The bake sale that I did with my coworkers was phenomenal raising $184.05!! As I/we move closer to the ultimate goal I have to always thank everyone who supports me in this mission. Thank YOU!
When you actually put your daily drink purchases into perspective you may come up with something similar to this:

Drink from the machine-$1.25
Lunch/Dinner beverage-$2.95
Daily Total:$7.60!!!!
By simply drinking filtered water you can use these funds to donate to someone else and save a life! So make these small changes and join me on this mission!!!!

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
