Madeline's Campaign for Water

Instead of attending class, girls and women around the world spend 200 million hours each day getting water that is often dirty and dangerous to their health. If they had clean water close at hand, there’s so much more they could do: attend school, play, spend time with their families, and start a business — to name a few. Women are not being able to pursue their full potential as powerful entities. Women deserve the same opportunities and access that men get. In the US we take our access to clean and free water for granted, and we do not see the many ways a lack of access affects communities in other countries.
