As I was complaining at work one day about the heat and drinking water, God spoke to me about people with no access to water. That made me stop complaining! But, everyday after this when I drank water this thought of people with no cold water to drink. So, I started praying and asking God what I was to do about this. All I got at first was get water so I said, ok so I thought I was to buy bottled water. So I started doing that and he laid on my heart to spend 10.00 a week. I was running into some issues with storage and getting it to point A to point B. So I ask many others to pray about this with me and if they felt lead to tell me something or a idea please share. So, about a week later one of the people praying said, this website keeps popping in my mind as I pray. Check it out let me know what you think. I did check it out and I ask God to show me something to let me know if this was the route I was to take. As I surf the site I clicked on the donation page and the first words at the top say for as little as 10.00 you can give a person water. I said, WoW that can only be GOD. the exact amount I was felt lead to give toward water each week for a year. This was God a Work! So, pray and give as God leads you. This is in His hands. The goal was determined by the amount of water I thought I would have in a year at 10.00 a week was at least 2500 bottles in a year. The journey He can lead you on just for complaining about being hot and water!LOL The water I collected before I got a clear answer is being given to the Rockford Rescue Mission. Bless all who give! Thanks, Stephanie

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
