Welcome to the
fundraising page for Clean Water H2oyas!
Clean Water H2oyas is an student run organization at Georgetown that seeks to fulfill the basic
human right to clean water in impoverished regions around the world while
simultaneously teaching Georgetown students valuable skills. Through these
efforts not only will the students learn, but more importantly people in the
developing world will gain access to safe, clean drinking water. The aim of the
organization this year is to raise an additional amount of $3,000 to pair with
the $5,000 that has already been raised. With this money, the group will fund a
project in either Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Sierra Leone or Burkina Faso. The
particular project that will be funded depends on the current demand and the particular
needs of a community. Individuals on the ground that work with The Water
Project will establish the particular project for a community in order to
secure a sustainable source of clean drinking water for that community. The project
will likely go towards the building of a well, hygiene or sanitation projects,
the building of sand dams or rain-water catching systems. We hope to raise the
full amount by May, 2014.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
