The Students for Global Citizenship and several other campus clubs, Phi Theta Kappa, the Environmental Club, the Radiologic Technology Student Organization and others have joined forces at Brookdale Community College to raise awareness about the lack of access to clean safe water around the world. Over 443 million school days are lost each year due to water-related illness as a result of ingesting dirty water. Diarrhea is the second leading cause of death among children under five in the world. Close to 4,000 children die each year in Rwanda alone from water borne illnesses. This is unacceptable. The Students for Global Citizenship and its partners are raising funds to help support the installation of a water well to bring clean water to 1,000s of community members. With access to clean water, water borne illnesses will decline dramatically, women will have more time to care for their families and become productive members of their communities, more children will attend school and the community will be healthier and more productive. Please help the WATER 4 LIFE campaign reach their goal of $6,000 to build a well in Rwanda.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
