As some may not know that insanitation and contaminated water is the leading cause of death in Africa, this is why creating this campaign means so much to me. The Center for Disease Control recommends that people bath properly and regularly and to drink water to stay hydrated in efforts to avoid contracting the virus. Many of us are lucky to be able to go to the kitchen for a glass of water or turn on the shower and have clean flowing water in under 1 second.
Unfortunately, millions of people do not have this luxury and are left with no option but to walk miles to a water source that is not guaranteed to be clean or disease-free.
