Living in a first world country, it is hard to notice the troubles, problems, and conflicts that 1.2 billion people in the world have had to face for so long. Water scarcity. Almost 1/5th of the world's population fails to find and drink clean water. We have all seen the sensitive pictures, the emotional videos, and persuasive ads that stress people to donate to a great cause of reducing the scarcity of clean water in various locations, however, it is not enough. We must act faster than ever, we must raise more money than ever. The more communities that raise money and act, the more people that get involved in helping half of the continent of Africa and several areas scattered around Asia, the Americas, and Europe, will slowly but surely, can come together to fight the global economic crisis of scarce water. I wish to encourage everyone at my school, my friends, family, and peers, that if all of you can just donate at least $1 dollar, then we will undoubtedly make a huge difference in the world.
As Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world."
Let's be the change the world NEEDS.
Let's fight scarcity of water together!
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
