A Year Later: Time for homework!

Zedrick W., 6, recalled what life was like in the Mulwanda Community before his community's spring was protected last year.

"People crowded here and made long queues to fetch water. We, as children, let the older people fetch first, and this made us use a lot of time here," said Zedrick.

Water collection has dramatically improved for Zedrick and the other community members in Mulwanda Community now.

"The spring was well constructed, and since then, there is a lot of water. It has left us with the solution to queues because the containers are filled within seconds," said Zedrick.

Having ready access to water from the spring has made a difference for Zedrick, allowing him time for other important things like learning and helping his family.

"I have enough time for my homework and other home chores like helping mom to clean utensils," concluded Zedrick.
