A Year Later: Enough time to play!

David K., 15, recalled what life was like in Mungakha Community before his community’s spring was protected last year.

"The water was very, very dirty, which made me get sick from time to time," said David.

But life is much healthier for David and the other community members in Mungakha now.

"This water has really helped me personally since I am not falling sick anymore due to its protected nature," David said.

Having ready access to water from the Mwilma Spring has made a difference for David, even in how much time and money his family is able to commit to his schooling.

"Money and time that was spent on treatment is now used on other things like buying books for school, and I also have enough time to play with other children," concluded David.
