Agnettah N., 10, shared how she felt about collecting water from the spring before its protection last year. "I used to get dirty while fetching water from the spring, and I didn't enjoy fetching water at all."
But since its protection, things have changed for her, and she has gained valuable time to help at home. She said, "I enjoy fetching water from the spring now because it is accessible and clean. Access to clean water has enabled me to help my mum do other chores at home because I no longer waste time queueing at the spring as before."
Best of all, quicker access to clean water has given Agnettah more time to study and hopefully set her up with a brighter future. "It has helped me concentrate more on my studies than I used to."
