A Year Later: More Time to Play!

Eleven-year-old Ruth shared about life before her community's spring was protected last year.

"I could spend time queuing, waiting for others to fetch water before I do, and this denied me chances to go and play with others because most of the time [I had] was spent on water collecting," said Ruth.

But since the spring's protection, things have been different for Ruth.

"I now get water easily and as quick as possible to take home so that I can have time to help in carrying out home activities and also play with my friends," Ruth said.

She continued, "It has helped me improve on my school performance, and also [it] gives me time to play with others because I complete my home chores on time and also go through my assignments on time."

Thanks to the spring protection Ruth can enjoy life like other kids her age and look forward to the future.
